Korean TV: CSI and NCIS

There are actually English shows and even whole channels on Korean TV. In my prior two homes, I rarely watched TV because finding the English channels and timing the shows was a bit of a pain. By the way, cable TV is free or only about $5 (5,000 won) tacked within the monthly rent. It’s the basic cable TV in the wall that gives you about 50 channels. (TVs are also provided; the quality of the TV depends on your apartment, but it’s usually a big box.)

My current apartment decided to upgrade about a month ago. They gave me a box to go with my TV and I have a LOT more channels to choose from. I can also choose buy some pay-per-view movies/TV shows as well. Anyway, I have some channels that I currently enjoy. What’s awesome (or maybe not so awesome) is that everyday I come home, there’s a 4-5 hour marathon of CSI or NCIS. They are all reruns but from the different ‘cities.’ I never really watched CSI in the States, so I’m still learning who the different characters are.  I have put the shows in order of my preference (with my least favorite first).  With the help IMDb….I picked out my favorite characters for each show as well:

CSI: New York

None of the characters particularly stand out to me

Chris O’Donnel, LL Cool Jay, Eric Christian Olsen (Field Agents & Undercover Detective, respectively. Their characters amuse me. ^^  Plus they look pretty good, right? (source)

NCIS

Michael Weatherly (Tony), Cote de Pablo (Ziva), Marc Hammon (Gibbs), and Pauley Perrette (Abby)

NCIS has been a long time favorite of mine. The best part is that I can watch it (almost) everyday! Not only is there the run of the episodes once a week, but every night (on a different channel) one or two episodes are shown.  I have grown to really like NCIS: Los Angeles. The other versions of CSI are slowly growing on me, but I still don’t like them so much.  How about you? Do you watch NCIS or CSI? Which is your favorite show and who is your favorite character(s)?

Those fotos came out Big on the screen, to my NCiS los angeles is a cheap copy of the original. Here in Panama they do show that show, but to be honest I lost track, don’t follow it as I use to when I was in Texas. Now, I do like CSI NY vs CSI Miami.

    1. I shrunk some of the pictures..sorry about that. Well, they are only airing season 6 of NCIS here…I think it’s more that I like the stories of NCIS over CSI. I do think the script writing is better for CSI NY than Miami. Actually, I watch the tv shows in the background while I’m on the computer or reading.
