300 Day Anniversary & Nifty App

As I’ve said before, I’ve never counted how many days I’ve been in a relationship. For a while, I just used my calendar and counted to 100, 200, and 300 days, and marked them on my calendar.  Needless to say, this became tedious. Then, Hyun-oo started quizzing me on how many days we’ve been together. He was cheating with a phone application on his iPhone! So…fair is fair. I searched for one of my own for my Android Phone…using the word “D-Day.”  I found a free application called My Darling. It’s pretty awesome.

The widget is available in English or Korean. On the interface, it says how many days you’ve been together and recent phone calls/messages. There are quite a few options available. For your “darling”‘s picture, you can upload 3 of your choice and it will rotate them for you. You can choose a theme for your widget: I chose a monkey theme for Hyun-oo (even though he doesn’t really like it. lol). One of the buttons on the widget will tell you the dates of ALL of your __-day anniversaries. You can also input dates and it will do a countdown timer to those as well.

So, for our 300 day anniversary, I was prepared. Hyun-oo said the 300 and 400 day anniversaries are not ‘huge’ events (unlike the 100 day anniversary) because of the 1 year anniversary. We actually ended up hanging out with one of my friends during the day (finally blogged about it!). But, for our own celebration, we did end up buy couple shirts. It wasn’t my idea; Hyun-oo really wanted a couple-something. Wen went shopping together and chose a long sleeve graphic t-shirt. (This is our new collection to our ‘couple’ shoes, polo t-shirts (seen here) and sweatshirts (seen here).)
